SPECIALS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE: Since the summer of 1973, Restaurant Gastrognome continues its traditIon of presenting an Idyllic dining experience either near our majestic grand fireplace, intimate cafe, or outdoor patio with its unmatched mountain views. We proudly create our own hand-cut fries. To complement our finely-crafted menu items, all of the following are also house-made: breads, focaccia, salad dressings, soups, and sauces, and desserts. Both our fresh Idaho trout and Icelandic salmon are farmed sustain-ably. We currently feature local Sage Mountain grass-fed beef and organic produce wherever possible.Our strongest asset, however, is the local community of Idyllwild. This small town has supported our restaurant with their loyal patronage for FOUR PLUS decades. We are proud to welcome our neighbors as guests, as well as travelers to our mountain hideaway. We are sincerely fortunate and grateful to all for supporting the "The Gnome."
